"When I first moved here I was not very involved in local history. As I learned more about South Florida and it's exciting background, I began to think I am part of this place and its history. Everything became so interesting to me: the environment, the history, the people, the old buildings..everything. I wanted to share that passion, that excitement for discovery with my students. My teaching and writing continue to give me that opportunity!"
